A History of Bradley Beach
The earliest accounts of Bradley Beach can be traced back to 1679 when it is said that Captain William Kidd anchored his vessel off Duck Creek, now known as Sylvan Lake. The area was rich with pine trees and sand dunes providing a natural haven for waterfowl. It was also reported that an Indian tribe existed in the approximate area of LaReine Avenue.
Bradley Beach Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
Sept. 13, 2021 — Bradley Beach Department of Tourism announced today a variety of activities taking place throughout Bradley Beach between September 15 and October 15, 2021 in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Latin Band, Xol Azul kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month last weekend with music and dancing.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Bradley Beach Fire Dept. is sponsoring a Town-Wide Garage Sale. Here is how it works:
– Click Here To Register and mail form with $15.00 check payable to: The Ladies Auxiliary – Bradley Beach Fire Dept.
– The Auxiliary has gotten permit approval from the town and will advertise the sales in the newspaper
– Each registered person holds the garage sale at their home on the above date

BEACH LOCKERS: Beach locker use has been extended to Sunday, September 26, 2021. All personal items must be removed by that date. Please note that beach lockers may be moved before that date due to inclement weather.
