A History of Bradley Beach
The earliest accounts of Bradley Beach can be traced back to 1679 when it is said that Captain William Kidd anchored his vessel off Duck Creek, now known as Sylvan Lake. The area was rich with pine trees and sand dunes providing a natural haven for waterfowl. It was also reported that an Indian tribe existed in the approximate area of LaReine Avenue.

Holiday Events to Kick off the Season in Bradley Beach
Kick off the holiday season in Bradley Beach this weekend.
The Annual Beach Bonfire starts things off on November 26th at 6pm. The bonfire takes place on the beach by the 5th Avenue Gazebo.
Spend Small Business Saturday in Bradley Beach! Shops are open and ready to welcome you in to shop! Specials can be found at many Bradley businesses and you can find a list online at www.bradleybeachnj.gov
