A History of Bradley Beach
The earliest accounts of Bradley Beach can be traced back to 1679 when it is said that Captain William Kidd anchored his vessel off Duck Creek, now known as Sylvan Lake. The area was rich with pine trees and sand dunes providing a natural haven for waterfowl. It was also reported that an Indian tribe existed in the approximate area of LaReine Avenue.
NJ American Water Temporary Water Treatment Changes
As part of the annual maintenance program NJAM will temporarily change the water treatment process from a chloramine (combination) residual to free chlorine residual at the company’s Swimming River Water Treatment Plant in Colts Neck and its Jumping Brook Water Treatment Plant in Neptune. The temporary treatment process will begin the week of February 6, 2023, and continue until April 2023. Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting To Be Held December 18th
Join us for both the Christmas Tree and the Menorah Lighting in Riley Park, Bradley Beach.
Sunday, December 18th from 4-6pm.
Along with the annual lightings, the Borough will present live music, face painting, photos with Santa, hot cocoa and cookies, jelly donuts and crafts.
