August Mayor’s Message

Your tax bill is literally in the mail and you will have a grace period for the first payment to September 10th! We worked very hard on our 2021 budget in order to lower the Borough’s municipal tax levy- and we did it! I am quite happy to report a 4.1% reduction in your tax rate (1.222% to 1.172 %) and the total tax levy will increase less than 1% (when you add school, county, library taxes). National Night Out

Tuesday, August 3, 2021 Chief Leonard Guida announces that this department will join communities nationwide to promote National Night Out Against Crime next Tuesday night August 3rd from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. The 24th Annual Bradley Beach 5K

The 24th annual Bradley Beach 5K run will be held on Saturday August 21st. The race starts at the Gazebo located at 5th and Ocean avenues in Bradley Beach  Post registration begins at 7:00 am with the race starting promptly at 8:30 am.  Fitness walkers are welcome. July Milling and Paving Schedule

From the Department of Public Works July 13, 2021 July Milling and Paving Schedule  Monday, July 19th and Tuesday, July 20th we will mill 4th and Fletcher. We will finish the milling Wednesday and start the paving. We will pave Thursday and finish the paving Friday, July 23rd. Back Monday, July 26th starting the milling on 5th and Tuesday finishing the milling on 5th and starting the milling on Madison. We will finish the milling on Madison Wednesday. The paving will start on Thursday on 5th and finish the paving on Madison Friday, July 30th. July Message- Our Summer is progressing well.  The weather has started to turn in our favor.  Main Street is recovering;  and our businesses are bustling.  This Saturday we are having a Fireworks display on the beach.  Please join us- it should be quite a show!  We’ve added a few surprises to make up for our July 3rd postponement! Summer Certificate of Occupancy

ANNOUNCEMENT!! It has come to our attention that properties in Bradley Beach are being rented without first obtaining the proper Certificate of Occupancy. The maximum fine for a single day without a CO is $2000.00 per day. If you are aware of properties that may be utilizing their homes for rent without proper CO authentification, please see the SDL Portal. There is a video which explains how to use the portal.
