SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR
The Borough of Bradley Beach is currently recruiting Summer Camp Counselors for 2024, ages 16+. This is an 8 week program perfect for someone who enjoys working with children. We are looking for energetic counselors who want to have fun in a semi structured environment. Summer Camp hours are Monday through Friday 9 am to 3 pm. We do weekly trips to the beach as well as other attractions around town. The Borough of Bradley Beach is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

We are looking for mature, responsible, kid-friendly people with the love of games, arts, crafts, and sports. Who can assist in preparing, organizing, planning, and supervising during sessions and events. You will oversee the safety and location of all the children in the camp area at all times. Lead in activities, sports, games, etc. Provide a caring, safe, and nurturing environment for all campers and their families, establish and maintain a working relationship with the community and fellow employees.
Background check required. Paid Training. Hours are M-F 8:30 am to 3:00 pm starting June 17th through August 9th CPR/First Aid training provided. Must be a dependable and positive role model for all our campers.
LIBRARY ASSISTANT
The Bradley Beach Public Library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant (up to 20/week). Candidate will assist patrons with circulation tasks, technology, and book requests as well as other duties as assigned. Successful candidate will have good customer service skills, be detail oriented, be organized, and be comfortable using technology on a daily basis. Proficiency in verbal and written communication in the English language is needed. Preferred skills included: social media knowledge and ability to speak Spanish. High school diploma required. Schedule is Monday 9 -1, Friday, 9-5, and Saturday 9-1. Evening hours are also required. Pay is $18.43/hour. Please email resume and cover letter to director@bradleybeachlibrary.org. SEASONAL SANITATION PUBLIC WORKS LABORER(S)
Duties to include assisting in the operation, maintenance and repair in the Department of Public Works. To perform routine work pertaining to trash and recycling collection, the construction, maintenance, and repair and cleaning of streets, parks and playgrounds, public facilities, leaf/brush collection, and any other duties as assigned. Qualified candidates must have at a minimum NJ Driver’s License, Class B CDL or Class A CDL is preferred. A minimum of a high school diploma (or Equivalent). Knowledge and experience with the various types of tools and lawn equipment preferred. Heavy manual laborer in adverse weather conditions required. CHIEF OCEAN LIFEGUARD – BOROUGH OF BRADLEY BEACH
The Borough of Bradley Beach is seeking candidates for a Seasonal Chief Ocean Lifeguard. Responsibilities include but are not limited to administering lifeguard program, coordinating the annual Mile Swim, the Bradley Beach Lifeguard Tournament, and Jr. Lifeguard program, maintaining certifications for lifeguards, equipment, and beachfront, create and maintain staff scheduling, completing daily and weekly reports, assign duties to all lifeguard staff, make water rescues, administer first aid, follow emergency procedures, maintain order and initiate the appropriate steps to prevent disorder or an unsafe environment, enforce and adhere to all rules and regulations of the beaches and water, ensure all equipment is in good condition and is properly stored at all times, and following all departmental Policies and Standard Operating Procedures accurately and effectively. PART TIME COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT – BOROUGH OF BRADLEY BEACH
The Borough of Bradley Beach is seeking candidates for Part Time Assistant in the Community Development Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interacting with the public in person and on the phone, administering and processing construction permit applications, data entry, fee calculations, permit issuance, preparing reports, scheduling inspections, and general assistance to the Department. Not to exceed 25 hours per week. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and GovPilot software is highly desirable. The salary range is $17-$20/per hour based on experience.
