Municipal Clerk
The position of Municipal Clerk is required by New Jersey law (N.J.S.A. 40A: 9-133).
The Clerk is responsible for all Borough Council related matters and additional statutory duties including:
- Preparation of the introduction and adoption publications of all Borough Ordinances.
- To provide official notification of all Borough Council meetings.
- To recording official minutes of all Borough Council meetings.
- To process all license applications including; vendor, liquor, and raffle.
- To serve as the election officer for all local and special elections.
The Office of Clerk is also responsible for issuing vital records (Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, Marriage Licenses).
Applications for a Marriage/Civil Union License applications are taken by appointment only. Contact Michele Whille at Ext.1029 to set up an appointment.

Notice of General Municipal Election – November 5, 2024
The General Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Information/Petition packets are available upon request at the Borough Hall Building, 701 Main Street, Bradley Beach, New Jersey between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. for the following:
One (1) Mayor – Full Four (4) Year Term
One (1) Council Member – One (1) Year Term

In order to obtain an Information/Petition Packet, the following information must be provided when picking up the packet:
Name, Address, Telephone Number, and Email Address
The deadline for filing petitions for the 2024 General Election is Thursday, August 22, 2024 by 4:00 P.M. in the Municipal Clerk’s Office. For additional information or inquiries, please contact the Municipal Clerk’s Office at (732) 776-2999 Ext 1026.
